What time do you open? Trains run from 11.0 am to 4.0pm

Do you have a free car park? Yes in our adjacent Water Meadow field. Open from 10.30–16.30. Its a grass field, so if wet it can’t be used, but there are public car parks very close.

Do you have disabled parking spaces? Yes, we have two “blue label” spaces, just inside our gate.

Do we need to book. No, tickets are sold at our ticket office, on the day.

How much does it cost? Entry is free. Each ride costs £2.00. Everyone over 2 years of age has to pay. There are two rides, the “raised track” and the “ground level track.

How do we pay? We take cash or credit / debit cards (but not AMEX). There is no surcharge for cards or discount for cash.

Do you have toilets. Yes in our Amenity Building – Ladies, Gents & Disabled, with a baby change unit.

Do you open in the rain? Yes, we operate whatever the weather. We would only cancel in emergencies such as a floods.

Can I bring my friends for a party? See the PARTY AREAS page for details.

Are you a proper railway? Yes, we run miniature trains, with guards, station masters, a ticket office, ticket collectors, and refreshments.

Do you have refreshments? We offer hot beverages, cans of “soft” drinks, ice-creams, snacks, and sweets, etc.

Can I bring my own picnic? Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink – please take your rubbish home with you. No camping /pop-up tents. No barbeques

Are you dog-friendly? Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome on a lead at all times. Do not leave them unattended or tied-up, and please pick up any “deposits”.

Where can I sit down? We have a few chairs in the refreshment building (our amenity building), and around our grounds we have several picnic tables.

What other attractions do you have? A “garden scale” scenic railway.

What else does the club do? We are a model engineering club, our members own their locomotives, many were built by our members. We encourage young members (aged 12 + to 18) to “learn by doing”, you will see some of them volunteering at our public running days.
